On the right earcup, there is the power and the Bluetooth pairing button. On the left ear-cup, you will find the mic on/off button (the boom mic also has the same functionality by lifting it up or down), a volume rocker (that doubles as a button to change sound profiles when pressed), and a USBC port for charging. In terms of I/O, the lack of a 3.5mm port is the most egregious omission from an otherwise well-rounded product. So, if you have used any of those headsets before, or even the wired version of HS65, and found them comfortable, you should have no issues with these either. However, your mileage may vary and I say that because I also found the new Steelseries Arctis Nova lineup to be similarly uncomfortable, a sentiment not many shared on the internet. One of the reasons for this is that the ear cushions aren’t firm enough to keep your ears away from the fabric that covers the drivers, and hence, it felt itchy and uncomfortable. For me, personally, the HS65 Wireless was a miss. The ear cups and the headband are sufficiently padded, and coupled with the lightweight body, and a forgiving clamp force, it should provide hours-long comfort for most users. However, the protruding undetachable microphone has the potential to choke you if you choose to do so, so make sure to tuck it in a little before attempting that. It provides both horizontal and swivel adjustments, and can also lay the headset completely flat if you want to wear it around your neck. The Y-shaped yolks that hold the ear cups offer some versatility.
Thankfully, the headband adjustment sliders seem to be made of aluminum so there is some structural integrity if you were worried about that. The plastic body doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy, and plays into the headset being extremely light at 275g. The all plastic-body is covered in a smooth muted black color, with both the ear cups featuring an embossed Corsair logo.
The HS65 Wireless expectedly looks just like its wired predecessor.
